BCL would like to invite all club members, families and friends to the opening game of our day night cricket season. This is a historic initiative where a league has been able to expand its schedule and operations beyond day time cricket. Our pilot project last year (over 1 weekend) was a super success and based on popular demand we have now expanded day night cricket.  However, we need your support. We need your presence!  The inaugural season game will have fireworks, jumping castle for kids, food, DJ, raffle draws with a chance to win Samsung Galaxy Tablet and many other items!  BCL would like to extend a warm welcome to you all. Please make sure you, your club, your families and friends attend this event on Canada Day at Powerade Centre from 8pm onward.

Great news for Cricket Fans!   When was the last time you played a league game under the lights? Your answer is probably never!   Well, the wait is over. For the first time, in the history of cricket in Canada, Brampton Cricket League is pleased to announce the introduction of flood light cricket games as part of our regular season schedule.   This is yet another chapter in our history where we put the game first - ahead of anyone else. Our management team has spent countless volunteer hours on bringing this project to fruition and hope you will join us in promoting the introduction of flood lights to our regular season and making it a success.   Bring your friends and families to the flood light games this summer. We are planning on getting live commentary + DJ, music and food for Sat night games at the Powerade Centre in Brampton.   2017 is going to be an awesome season for all of us!   Check out this highlight video from last year's pilot project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nen6PzRnLMU

Playoffs Structure
Aug 06, 2014
as as follows:   T20   Div 1 - Top 4 teams will advance to playoffs. 2 Semi Finals (1 vs 4) & (2 vs 3) Div 2 - Top 4 teams will advance to playoffs. 2 Semi Finals (1 vs 4) & (2 vs 3) Div 3 - Top 2 teams will advane to FINAL   ODI   Div 1 - Top 4 team will advance to playoffs. 2 Semi Finals (1 vs 4) & (2 vs 3)   Playoffs Eligibility:   A player must play 50% of the BCL regular season with the same club in order to qualify for playoffs.    14 season games = 7 or more games. 15 season games = 8 or more games. 16 season games = 8 or more games.    If a player is playing for 2 teams within the same club all of his overall games played with the club will be considered for playoffs qualification.   The format of the games will not be a factor; however the number of format games required for eligibility will be considered.    Example: Player A plays for Club Y which has 2 teams. T20 & ODI. Club Y has 14 T20 games and 16 ODI games. In order to qualify for ODI playoffs, player A must have played a minimum of 8 games (T20, or ODI) to be considered for qualification. For T20 playoffs the minimum criteria will be 7 games.    Club Management: if you are not sure about this; speak to the league management now to avoid disappointment at playoffs.      In the event of teams finishing on equal points in its Group, the right to play in the semi-finals will be decided in the following order of priority:   The team with the most wins in the Group stage will be placed in the higher position. If there are teams with equal points and equal wins in the Group stage then in such case the team with the higher net run rate in the Group stage will be placed in the higher position. If still equal, the team which was the winner of the head to head match played between them will be placed in the higher position. In the highly unlikely event that teams cannot be separated by the above this will be done by drawing lots. If all of the matches within a Group are a no result, the top two seeded teams will progress to the semi-finals
